What are these actually for?

The vents in the ceiling ducting of a Furrion air conditioner, meaning the louvred outlets air comes out of inside the van, not part of the roof unit itself. They crack, fade and lose louvre tension over the years, and this is the black replacement set.

Why buy three at once?

Because a ducted van usually runs several outlets, and mismatched vents look worse than uniformly tired ones. If one has gone brittle, the others have had the same sun and the same road vibration, so doing the lot keeps the ceiling looking like it was built that way.

Will these fit a system from another brand?

Assume not. These are the genuine Furrion part, sized to Furrion ducting, and vent outlets are not standardised across brands. The cut-out and the clip spacing both differ. If your system came from another maker, measure the opening before ordering rather than afterwards.
