Is there a pool in the base?

No, this one is purely a sprinkler. There is nothing to sit in and no water held anywhere — it is an inflatable rocket that sprays, and kids run through it. If you want somewhere to sit and splash, you are after a paddling pool instead.

Will it stay standing with kids charging at it?

It will get knocked over, and that is fine. At 1.02 m tall on a 64 cm by 61 cm base it is top heavy and light, so a gust or an enthusiastic six year old will lay it flat. Set it up somewhere soft, away from the fire pit and the tow ball.

Does it need power?

Only water. The spinning nozzle runs off your tap pressure, so there is no motor, no battery and nothing to charge — which is what makes it worth throwing in the camper. You still need an air pump to inflate the body, then it is a few minutes to set up.
