Common questions about 500LM LED Headlamp – Twin Pack

Do batteries come in the box?

No. Each lamp takes 3 x AAA and they are not included, so sort that out beforehand or you are sitting in the dark on night one. The upside of AAA is that every roadhouse and corner shop in the country stocks them when your spares eventually run out.

When should I actually use the red mode?

Around camp, most of the night. Red preserves your night vision so you can still see past the beam, and it does not blast everyone at the table when you turn your head. Save the 500 lumen high beam for finding the track, checking the hitch or looking for the dog.

How long will a set of batteries last?

Roughly 3 to 4 hours on high and 8 to 10 on low. High beam is for short bursts, not for reading in the swag. Getting 2 lamps in the pack means one can live in the van and one in the car, so nobody hunts for the shared torch after dark.
