Is 35 litres per minute enough for 4WD tyres?

It will do the job, but bring patience. A single cylinder pump at 35 litres per minute is fine for car, trailer and caravan tyres and will air a set of all terrains back up after the beach — it just takes a fair while per wheel. Let it cool between tyres.

How does it reach around the vehicle?

The reach is in the power cable, not the hose. With roughly half a metre of air hose and three metres of lead, the unit sits on the ground beside the wheel you are filling and you carry it around the car. Plan where you park accordingly.

When should I use the deflator?

Before the soft stuff, not after you are bogged. Air down on the hard ground at the top of the beach track or the start of the gravel, and the deflator gets you there without kneeling on a valve with a key. Air back up before the bitumen.
