About this rest area

Moama Long Paddock Rest Area is a delightful outdoor space situated behind the Moama Council building. It boasts an expansive, grassy park equipped with BBQ facilities and picnic tables, perfect for family outings or relaxing breaks. Public restrooms are conveniently provided. Not far off, there's parking for caravans and motorhomes and a play area for children. Interesting history adds charm as the area denotes a historical stock route used from the 19th century.

There is parking suitable for caravans and motorhomes just down the road, opposite the children's play area. Be aware that the area behind the council building is a bus stop. The long paddock refers to the old stock route that stretched from Wilcania to Moama, along which stock were driven to the markets in Victoria from the 19th century onwards.
