Long Plain Hut Camping Area (For Horses) is located in the High Plains area of Kosciuszko National Park, accessible via Long Plain Road from the Snowy Mountains Highway. This free campground provides tent sites specifically designated for horse riders exploring the northern sections of the park. The site sits among sub-alpine bushland with snow gums near the historic Long Plain Hut, which is over a century old. Access roads close during winter months from June to the October long weekend. The campground serves as a base for horse riding, bushwalking and mountain biking in the High Plains region.
