Long Plain Hut Camping Area provides tent sites in northern Kosciuszko National Park, accessible via unsealed roads from Cooma or Tumut along the Snowy Mountains Highway. The free campground sits among sub-alpine bushland featuring snow gums and candlebark trees, with views of the historic weatherboard Long Plain Hut, which is over 100 years old. The site serves as a base for bushwalking, mountain biking, fishing and horse riding in the High Plains area. Access roads close during winter months from June to October long weekends.
