The campground accommodates caravans and tents, with toilet facilities provided. It serves as a base for bushwalking, mountain biking, fishing and cross-country skiing in central and northern sections of the park. The dam dates from the Kiandra gold-mining era when it supplied water for sluicing operations. Gates close from the June long weekend to October long weekend, though walk-in camping remains available with parking at the Goldseekers track carpark. Managed by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
