About this campsite
This area is named a 'Rest Area' but it is a genuine camping area. The design is four single sites and one double, each having its own low fireplace (some wood provided) and a picnic table. If campers co-operate it is capable of taking a couple more rigs. NPWS info says tent and camper trailers, but there's no problem for normsal RV's and caravans. Large rigs should stop at the entrance to the camping area and check turning options using camping sites as the turning circle is not very large. For early morning sun choose the furthest site. Twelve km off the Oxley Highway, this is a quiet basic campsite in Mummel Gulf NP – a place to enjoy nature.
