Mother of Ducks Lagoon Rest Area
About this campsite
Mother of Ducks Lagoon Rest Area is a highly appealing destination, located at the elevated height of 1330m in Guyra, renowned as the highest caravan park in Australia. This scenic spot offers quality grass, covers in abundant shade, and sits between Leggo Park and a golf course/lagoon - making it an ideal spot for summer visits. The area, dogs-friendly with some restrictions, is close to the local business district and showcases astounding historical architecture. Excitingly, Guyra gained nationwide interest due to a four-day search for a lost boy in 1960, which influenced a hit song and a subsequent film.

Aloomba Lavender offers a relaxing experience in Queensland's Granite Belt. The lavender harvest was successful, but the heat can make working tiring. Visitors, particularly campers and RV owners, are often wonderfully friendly and our location is gaining popularity. Planning is underway for the upcoming Granite Belt festival at the end of June and early July, and campsite bookings are recommended. Although our shop is closed in February, we remain available for camping and enjoy meeting the touring coach groups we often host.
