About this campsite

The Lollback Rest Area is a perfect overnight stop situated just off the south side of the Gwydir Highway, on the serene and picturesque eastern bank of the Mann River. This quaint area is in a small sealed cul-de-sac configuration adjacent to the highway, complete with grassy patches perfect for setting up tents. Despite the signage indicating "No large vehicles", there's ample space for a moderately sized caravan, especially when the area isn't overly crowded. To make the best out of the available space, a suggested spot for vans is facing the exit, opposite to the driveway side. There's also a small gravel verge just off the bitumen for additional parking. The Lollback Rest Area ticks all the boxes for motorhomes and camper vans, offering a peaceful stopover in the heart of nature. The area's scenography and accessibility make it a traveller's delight!
