Kendalls Camp Area offers free camping on the western bank of the Rubicon River in the Rubicon State Forest's Rubicon Valley Historic Area. The campground accommodates tents, trailers and caravans with ample grassy, shaded space suitable for 2WD vehicles. Managed by DEECA, the site provides basic facilities including toilets and permits campfires, with opportunities for fishing, bushwalking, mountain biking and trail bike riding. Dogs are allowed. No bookings or fees required. The campground operates seasonally, closing after the King's Birthday long weekend and reopening before Melbourne Cup weekend.
