Immerse yourself in nature's tranquility at Julia Creek Camping Area, specifically designed for RV and fully self-contained Caravan/MotorHomes. Sited just 1.5kms away from the town on the eastern side, this scenic camping spot is punctuated with picnic tables for you to relax, savor some cheese and wine, while witnessing the magnificent Julia Creek sunsets. In the peak season during winter, on-site volunteer hosts facilitate your sign-in. Alternatively, off-season campers can get a free permit, valid for 96 hours, from the Julia Creek Visitor Information Centre located at 34 Burke Street before setting up camp. The volunteer hosts change every two weeks and if you are attracted to such a role, you can contact the information centre for more details. The RV Park can now be accessed via the Flinders Highway or Shaw Street in Julia Creek as the road is now bitumen.
