The Glenugie State Forest Rest Area provides visitors with a peaceful and convenient stopover spot. This scenic drive-through rest area is nestled among trees providing a tranquil atmosphere away from the rush of the highway. Its large leveled ground ensures easy maneuvering. You can indulge in reading at the information boards or simply walk through the beautiful grassy park. With essential amenities such as toilets and picnic tables, it's an ideal spot for travelers to break their journey and rest.

This is a long stretch of old road which rejoins the highway some distance along, so being a drive through configuration, there is no need to turn around. There is plenty of room on level ground. As a drive though highway rest area go, this is one of the better ones, with a nice grassy park to stroll in and information boards to read.

How to Get There

Pacific Highway, Grafton near intersection of Dinjerra Road. 11 kms south of Grafton and 70 kms north of Coffs Harbour. On the northbound side of the highway accessible to traffic in both directions. Southbound traffic has a right turn lane to enter the rest area.
