BIG4 Townsville Gateway Holiday Park sits at Cluden, about ten minutes south of Townsville's centre just off the Bruce Highway — a natural overnight stop on the Cairns–Mackay run and a base for the city. Sites range from premium grass and slab powered sites (with easy 45-degree drive-in parking) to big-rig grass sites with drive-through access and grass unpowered sites. Air-conditioned studio, one- and two-bedroom cabins are available, some pet-friendly. The park has a pool and spa, camp kitchen, BBQ area, guest laundry, kiosk and a recreation room with free Wi-Fi. Pets are welcome on selected sites and cabins — conditions apply. The Magnetic Island ferry, The Strand and Castle Hill are a short drive north.
