The MacKenzie River Camping Area is a beautifully serene location perfect for camping. Featuring easy access to the river, the campsite is ideal for both campervans and caravans, and there's room for turning around. The camping area boasts large, scenic trees and offers new, convenient facilities such as picnic tables and toilets blocks. A second toilet facility is also available across the bridge at the truck parking area. Enjoy the tranquility and connect with nature at Mackenzie River Camping Area.

Access to the river via an old road. Small area more suited to campervans although a short ring road allows for caravans to turn around. A new toilet block & picnic table have been constructed on the northern side adjacent to the road going east. Large trees. Another toilet a little further north over the bridge at the truck parking area.

How to Get There

This Rest Area is 77km north of Dingo & 42km south of the Middlemount turnoff. Recommend walking in before leaving the old sealed road.
