About this campsite
The Carisbroome Camping & Fishing Reserve is a historic site, first discovered by Allan Cunningham in the early 19th century. The area was first settled in 1850 with the opening of Browns Inn, which served as a stopover for bullock teams heading west. Today, the reserve provides scenic, shady camping spots along the Macintyre Brook, perfect for fishing and relaxing.
