Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree National Park sits where the Mojave and Colorado deserts meet, with campgrounds set among granite boulder piles at Jumbo Rocks, Hidden Valley and Belle. Most park campgrounds take reservations in the October–May peak season, and BLM land north and south of the park allows dispersed camping. Nights are cold in winter and the park has almost no water — carry everything in.
