The campground is accessed via unsealed roads requiring a four-wheel drive, approximately 40 kilometres from Lithgow through Capertee, then left onto Lochader Road following park signage. Toilets are provided on-site. River crossings can become impassable after heavy rain, so checking weather conditions before departure is essential. The nearest general store is located in Capertee. Camping is managed by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
