Whitehaven Beach is 7km of pure white silica sand and swirling blue-green water — accessible only by boat and with strictly limited permit camping at the southern end. Waking up here before the day-trippers arrive is one of the most extraordinary experiences Australia has to offer. Permits required through QPWS.
