Swamp Creek Camping Area is a tranquil and scenic free campsite, located near a peaceful town and across the road from a Fossicking Reserve, perfect for hunting gold. The site extends on both sides of the signature bridge, with a designated picnic area, covered tables, and BBQ facilities. Visitors should bring their own firewood for the wood-fired BBQs. Facilities include drop toilets, bins, and BBQs across the expansive camping territory. The landscape varies, with more level ground near town, making the spot an ideal destination for relaxation and camping enthusiasts alike.

The Swamp Creek Camping Area, nestled on the banks of the scenic Peel River, offers an expansive grassy site equipped with good facilities and limited shade. Known for its chilly winter temperatures, it also provides a lure for adventure seekers with a Fossicking Reserve across the road where you can hunt for gold. This serene, quaint town is perfect for unwinding amidst beautiful surroundings. The campsite is divided across both sides of a bridge. The town-side area offers a covered picnic table, barbecues, and a disposal bin, with more level ground. Across the bridge, the camping area features public toilets, another disposal bin, and additional barbecues that require wood fuel, so be sure to BYO wood. How to Get There

Located 5km north of the centre of Nundle. Access from Nundle side is about 2km of good dirt road and about 8km of good dirt road from the Chaffey Dam side.
