Ramsgate Campground is located within the Recherche Bay Nature Recreation Area, approximately 25 kilometres south of the Ida Bay railway complex along Cockle Creek Road. Managed by Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service, this free camping area accommodates caravans, campervans, motorhomes and tents. The site is positioned past Gillams Beach, Finns Beach and Catamaran campgrounds on the right-hand side of the road. Basic facilities are provided at this remote location, with the nearest shops at Hastings Caves Cafe and Southport Tavern approximately 20 kilometres north of Cockle Creek. Campfires are permitted at this unpowered bush camping area.
