Please note that bookings are essential prior to camping via a National parks office in Hughenden. Take a break in the lap of nature, one spectacular view at a time.

Nestled in the upper reaches of the stunning Porcupine Gorge, Pyramid Campground offers an outdoor haven for nature enthusiasts. It serves as the launching pad for the scenic 2.4-kilometer Pyramid track, meandering its way down into the heart of the gorge. Although the descent might be a test for your shoes, it's well worth the sweat as breathtaking vistas unfurl around each bend. A refreshing reward awaits in the form of a serene swimming hole tucked beneath the towering Pyramid Rock. To ensure an optimal and eco-friendly camping experience, Pyramid Campground, like all Queensland national parks, requires prior booking and payment. Although it seems a bit remote, being far from phone access, the National Parks office in nearby Hughenden is ready to help those in need of assistance. More than a campsite, the Pyramid Campground experience is a real welcoming power, allowing you to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with Mother Nature. How to Get There

500 metres from the park entrance and 2.5 kilometres from Mount Emu Plains Road. The road into the camp ground is fully sealed.
