About this campsite

The Overland Corner Hotel Rest Area is a spacious open space nestled next to the historic Overland Corner Hotel. Strategically located near the picturesque Murray River and adjoined to the serene Heron Bend Wetlands, it offers nature lovers a prime spot to rest overnight, imbibe the surrounding beauty, and enjoy easy access to local wildlife. Please note availability may vary depending on weather conditions but it’s well-signposted from the main road, providing a tranquil respite from travel.

The rest area behind the hotel is not a part of the hotel, but adjoins the Heron Bend Wetland nearby, adjacent to the Murray River. It might be open for overnight stays even if the wetland area is closed, but can be boggy after very wet weather. The turn into the rest area, immediately on left before white marker when coming from Renmark, is easy to miss.
