Since improvements in 2013, the park has lush grass, a new gravel driveway for large vehicles, and extra room by the river and under the overhead bridge. There is a new, accessible toilet block just a quick 3-minute walk away. Ideal for overnight stays, visitors can appreciate scenic views and utilize the convenient boat ramp for water activities.

Bulahdelah Showground, nestled in a peaceful location away from traffic, is a popular stopover town spot on the Pacific Highway, boasting local amenities such as a bakery, cafes, restaurants, and pubs. The area offers powered and unpowered camping with plenty of outlets, ideal for those attending booked events at the showground arena. However, general overnight stays are limited to motor homes and recreational vehicles, with stays restricted to certain areas and specific conditions. This includes a maximum stay of 3 nights (Monday to Friday) with no weekend stays allowed, and sites to be cleared by 8 am each Saturday.
