SPANISH CREEK CAMPGROUND
Overview Spanish Creek Campground is located on Highway 70 just east of the Highway 89 intersection; just east of where Banish Creek and Indian Creek merge together to create the east branch of the North Fork Feather River. The campground is right on Spanish Creek with a very popular swimming hole. Although the campground has been recently upgraded, it still holds the charm that it did in years past. Recreation Anglers enjoy a healthy supply of rainbow trout in the nearby Feather River, which is within walking distance from the campground. The river and nearby Spanish Creek are also popular for swimming and wading activities. Facilities Spanish Creek campground offers several single-family campsites that accommodate both tent and RV camping, however hookups are not available. Each site is equipped with tables and campfire rings with grills. Vault toilets and drinking water are also provided. A full-service store, gas and phone service is available less than 10 miles away. Natural Features This campground is located in the Plumas National Forest, which is attractive to outdoor enthusiasts because of its many streams and lakes, beautiful deep canyons, rich mountain valleys, meadows, and lofty peaks. Nearby Attractions Within the Plumas National Forest, Spanish Creek campground is just a few short miles from Indian Falls. This is one attraction not to miss. Some have said that the mist created by the falls resembles a feather -- thus naming the Feather River. Just southeast on Highway 70 from Spanish Creek Campground is the quaint high Sierra town of Quincy. We recommend walking around the town if you get a chance. Very close to the campground is the Butterfly Valley Botanical Area. This is also a neat spot to explore. Before you get to the town of Quincy you will pass the Mount Hough Ranger District - a wonderful stop to discover more information about local area attractions.

Snake Lake Campground and Equestrian Camp
Overview Snake Lake is located at approximately 3900 ft in elevation and is about 8 miles from the quaint town of Quincy, CA. Upon arriving, you are greeted by a mixed pine and fir forest as well as the shallow, lilly pad filled Snake Lake. Easy access to multi use trails can be found within the Snake Lake Basin. Recreation This campground is a hub of activity and hosts staging areas for mountain biking, equestrian, and OHV use. Play hard and respect everyones rights and activies. This is one of the only campgrounds that has use access to forest roads directly from the campground. Facilities These improvements can be found at each campsite: Fire pits Picnic tables Food storage locker Vault toilets For the equestrian users there is a small corral and a ADA mounting ramp Please use certified weed-seed-free feed for horses Please remove, scatter or bury manure piles left in corrals or while dispersed camping Use the provided corrals or hitching posts to stage horses; use high lines with tree saver straps to protect trees and minimize impact while dispersed camping Natural Features Snake Lake is a shallow reservoir that promotes the growth of Lilly Pads. Music festivals, the Plumas County Fair, and other random activities are within a quick drive from the campground.

Meadow Camp Campground
Overview This campground features 6 improved dispersed campsites. Sites 1-3 are intended for equestrian use providing plenty of space for horse trailers. There is not a corral or water trough, so be prepared for limited equestrian services. Recreation Equestrian and OHV access routes start immediately outside the entrance of the campground. Miles of roads are your fingertips and available for your riding pleasure. Adhere to all OHV and vehicle use guidelines. Facilities This campground has been improved and provides these convienences: a picnic table, fire pit and vault toilet. Please provide your own water and take your trash home, there are no trash services available at this site. Natural Features A beautiful native grass meadow, mixed pine and red oak forest, and the slow moving waters of the Meadow Valley Creek are the natural features that can be located near this campground.
