Managed by Parks and Wildlife, the campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no bookings required. The area supports diverse birdlife including purple-crowned lorikeets, yellow-plumed honeyeaters and mulga parrots, while the mountain itself features an unusual plant mix of orchids, ferns and coastal species like showy banksia. A sheltered picnic area and summit walking track provide additional recreation options.
