This is a full day in Margaret River built for people who do not usually book tours. Groups are capped at six, travel is in a Land Rover Discovery rather than a bus, and the day is hosted by founder Sean Blocksidge, a former Western Australian Guide of the Year. The day covers ground you cannot easily reach alone. You canoe a quiet stretch of the Margaret River, walk a section of the Cape to Cape Track along the Wilyabrup Cliffs — reached on a four-wheel drive track the operator has specific government approval to use — and stop at the Aboriginal heritage site at Yalgardup Falls. Lunch is in the barrel room at Fraser Gallop Estate, with premium wines matched to local produce among the ageing barrels. Dolphins, whales, kangaroos, eagles and wildflowers are all seasonal possibilities along the coast. The tour runs Monday to Friday only, and with six seats a day it books out well ahead.
