Located in Coorong National Park, Long Point Camping Area provides an exceptional camping experience surrounded by water. Offering a boat ramp and excellent amenities like water and accessible toilets, it ensures a comfortable stay. Despite a limited number of spots and lack of signage, campers make the most of what seems like a parking lot near the toilet facilities. For self-sufficient campers, picturesque grassed areas are available a short distance from the main area.

The Long Point Camping Area boasts a prime location within the Coorong National Park, enveloped by water on three sides. This position lends itself to a multitude of water activities, easily available due to the inclusion of a boat ramp. The camping space is well-equipped, featuring accessible toilets and a reliable water source. Although the area offers limited camping spots and lacks directional signs, most visitors usually set up camp near a seemingly random parking lot for convenience to the facilities. However, for those more self-reliant, there are several wonderful, grassy locations that can serve as the perfect backdrop to your camping experience. They are available about 400 metres both to the right of the main area and to the left when exiting, offering an engaging experience amidst nature's beauty.

How to Get There

Proceed to waypoint 20km north-west of Meningie on Narrung Road. Turn south-west onto Long Point Road (dirt road) and follow for 4km to camping area.
