Horseshoe Bend Merbein Camping Area is a quaint, free campground situated alongside the Murray River, just north of Merbein. It offers a serene bush camping experience, enhanced by the captivating riverside scenery. The area comprises multiple sites accessible via several tracks from the main gravel road. A warning for campers is that the ground could slope towards the river in some spots, so having leveling blocks on hand might be advisable. While waste bins are available on-site, campers are encouraged to remove their own rubbish upon leaving as part of commitment to maintaining this site's natural beauty. The camping area's prime location at the river's northern end provides ample space and boasts leveler ground. Beyond the charm of the quiet, rural ambiance, the location is an angler's delight, rendering an excellent opportunity for attempting to catch a fresh fish dinner.

Proceed to waypoint on Old Wentworth Road. At waypoint turn north-west onto dirt road and follow for about 1km to campground. GPS coordinates located at the boat ramp. Waypoint coordinates optional, as most GPSs can find the destination.
