Diamantina Horse Yards is a free camping area within Alpine National Park, managed by Parks Victoria and specifically designed for horse riders exploring the Bogong High Plains. Available during the summer season from 1 December to 30 April, the site features horse yards that can be reserved in advance at no cost. Located off Kiewa Logging Road near Hotham Heights, this camping area provides a base for riders accessing the pristine mountain terrain of the High Plains. Dogs are permitted at this site. Facilities include unisex toilets available when the park is accessible.
