Chatsworth Park Rest Area is a welcoming spot with ample shade and green, verdant areas, although it's worth noting it's proximity to the highway, so expect some ambient traffic noise. Historically part of an old highway strip, the site has undergone a revamp, resulting in fewer but more aesthetically arranged spots. There's a distinctive charm, though the amenities are somewhat weary due to use over time. For travelers' convenience, there is non-potable water available on the north side of the toilet block. Access to the tap will require a tamper-proof key. The water, sourced from a local tank, is regularly refilled by the city council. Although it's not suitable for drinking, it's clear and perfect for washing up and other similar tasks. 7km NW of Gympie on SW side of Bruce Highway at junction of Vantage Road. Turn in to Vantage Road then immediately left into rest area.
