The day rest area sits on the Southern end of a 1km stretch of bypassed Highway designated as an overnight truck stop. The non-truck overnight area is further South on Beardy Waters see Heritage Park Beardy Creek Rest Area The open area by Beardy Waters is signed for use by the travelling Public. Signs also relate to fishing rules in the Trout Stream.
