Easily accessible and situated close to the road, it ensures a hassle-free rest stop from even light traffic. The area is especially appealing for its spacious environment and ample shade provided by the surrounding trees, making it an ideal spot for picnics. Although previously open for camping, after March 2020, this facility changed to a day-use only site due to certain health and safety resolutions from the council. An important note for visitors is that while the rest area does consist of a restroom, it is currently non-operational. Despite this, Bass Valley Reserve Rest Area remains a welcoming and refreshing spot for daytime retreats and pauses in your journey.

How to Get There

From waypoint on the Gippsland Highway at Bena, turn north on to Bass Valley Road and follow for 6.6km to campground on the eastern side of the road.
