The foreshore is a key location where people undertake recreational pursuits, enjoy the scenic landscape as well as serving as a site for the town?s public facilities. Popular recreational activities undertaken on the Kilcunda Foreshore include; surfing, cycling, horse riding, swimming, walking, shore based fishing and appreciation of the natural landscape. Local residents and visitors to the foreshore make use of the picnic, playground, barbecue and public toilet facilities at the main beach area, opposite the Kilcunda Township. Access from this location to the main beach is possible via a short elevated pathway.

Coming from Phillip Island, turn right off Highway straight after caravan park. From Wonthaggi, turn left after trestle bridge.
