The Flying Fox is an eco-friendly accommodation and camping site on the Whanganui River, accessed exclusively by aerial cable car or boat within Whanganui National Park. The Koru Campsite offers basic bush camping with a kitchen shelter featuring cold running water, a two-burner gas hob and barbecue, two toilets, two showers, a wood-fired bath, and a communal fire pit with seating. Native plantings provide spacious tent sites, while a fridge and freezer are available nearby. Check-in times vary seasonally between 2pm and 7pm, with check-out from 8am to 10.30am, and the site is approximately an hour's drive from either Whanganui or Raetihi to the cable car crossing point.
