This site is one of three campsites spread over a two-kilometre stretch through Te Moana Gorge, an area known for native forest, river fishing opportunities (licence required), and the rare long-tailed bat visible at dusk. Open fires are prohibited with only gas cookers permitted. Access is via Te Moana Road. No bookings are required, operating on a first-come, first-served basis.
