About this rest area

The Ross and Locke Picnic Area offers a unique, adventurous outdoor experience with its large, partly shaded area set amidst natural surroundings. The accessible track down, suitable for caravans and large rigs, leads towards the parking area defined by smooth river stones. Despite being flood-prone, the area features a refreshing splash-bathing potential through a small, swift runoff spot. This picturesque location promises a serene, relaxing, and distinctive picnic experience.

The track down is a little rough and overgrown but passable for caravans and perhaps large rigs as there's plenty of turning space. It is a flood prone area and most of the parking area is on smooth river stones. A small run off area though a little fast is suitable for 'splash bathing'.
