Important: camping is permitted only in the road reserve at the start of the site — do not drive around the chain onto Wunaamin Conservation Park, an area of high cultural significance where camping is not permitted. DBCA rangers conduct random checks and illegal camping may attract a fine.

Instead of the cliffs typical of Maize Island, Lowbank Landing features a flatter landscape speckled with river gums and acacias, making it a more suitable spot for large rigs.
