About this rest area

North Brother Lookout presents an opportunity to behold a panoramic view of the captivating scenery of the Camden Haven area from a height of 490M. Located within the Dooragan National Park, it can be accessed via a thrilling 5km road with steep grades and tight turns. The site also has ample parking space and beautifully arranged picnic areas. From this point, visitors can embark on various walking trails. Rich in history, the area owes its name to Captain Cook, who in May 1770, named the distinctive hilltops "The 3 Brothers".

The 5km access road has steep grades and tight turns; not suitable for caravans. The lookout has substantial parking and quality picnic areas. From a vantage point of 490M, the lookout provides a spectacular view of the Camden Haven area. Several walking tracks radiate from the parking area. The area was named by Captain Cook in May 1770 who sighted three distinctive hills and called them "The 3 Brothers".

How to Get There

At waypoint on the South Western side of Ocean Road at North Brother, turn south onto Captain Cook Bicentenary Road and proceed 5KM to North Brother Lookout.
