Nelson Creek

Nelson Creek is a Department of Conservation campsite on the West Coast, located inland from Greymouth near the settlement of Ngahere. The reserve features native bush surroundings and remnants of the area's gold mining heritage. Visitors can explore bush walks and historic mining relics within the reserve. As a DOC-managed site, it typically offers basic camping amenities in a natural bush setting. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis without requiring advance bookings.
