About this campsite

Munall Campground, nestled in the diverse Blackdown Tablelands National Park, offers a serene, shaded spot ideal for nature getaways. With various walking tracks nearby, visitors get a chance to explore unique plant communities and exclusive wildlife. Remember to be self-sufficient with drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent, and clean firewood. Come soak in the bliss of a cooler, moister climate and reconnect with nature in a place like nowhere else.

Bring your own drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent and clean, untreated firewood such as mill off-cuts (often available at Dingo). The park supports diverse plant communities including heathlands, dry eucalypt forests and moist pockets of ferns, mosses and orchids. Being elevated, the tableland is often cooler and moister than nearby plains. Its isolation means plants and animals that are found nowhere else thrive here. These include the Blackdown stringybark, a macrozamia, red bottlebrush, the Blackdown "monster" (a type of underground cricket) and a Christmas beetle.
