About this campsite
Merino is 20 km south-east of Casterton on the road to / from Portland. The town has a pub, a cafe and a shop, It also has a heritage cinema which is housed in the Merino hotel. A lovely old town with a good pastoral history. The main residents are sheep, then cattle, then people. Camping is provided free but donations for the upkeep are welcomed. Donate at Paddy's Waterhole or the store. Both are in town.
