Guttram State Forest Camping Area is a stunning campground encompassed in a forest full of towering rivergum trees on the Murray River's banks. The lack of formal camping spots allows campers the freedom to find their perfect spot to settle in. However, this idyllic location comes with a dash of adventure - caution is advised due to occasional falling limbs from these regal trees, especially the older ones with dead branches. The state forest's roads are best navigated in dry weather, and a 4WD is suggested due to deep wheel tracks. Navigating these roads require you to take it slow through the rougher patches to prevent damage, adding a bit of thrill to your camping endeavour. Be sure to navigate via the waypoint, or you may end up on the wrong side of the Murray River. Proceed to waypoint on Cassidy Lane. Continue to the end of the road, not taking any left turns. The road leads to Brays Lane which takes you into the state forest. Just follow the road until you find somewhere that you like.
