Camel Chute Campground

Camel Chute Campground sits on twenty-five acres along the Madawaska River near Griffith in the Ottawa Valley. Established in the 1980s by the Peters family, it offers seasonal camping from May long weekend through Thanksgiving on generously sized sites with thirty-amp electrical service, water, and septic hookups. The location provides access to the river for paddling and fishing, plus proximity to extensive trail networks for hiking and ATV riding across surrounding crown lands. Beach areas and organized events complement the riverside setting, making it suitable for families and outdoor enthusiasts exploring eastern Ontario's backcountry.
