Acheron Accomodation House Campsite

Acheron Accommodation House Campsite sits beside a historic cobb building from 1863 within Molesworth Recreation Reserve, offering basic Department of Conservation camping facilities with toilets provided. The campsite features three flat camping areas at different levels, including sites behind the old lodge, near the warden's hut, and down by the river, all with long-drop toilets and tap water available. As a non-powered tent camping site in an exposed valley setting, it provides a straightforward base for exploring this remote recreation reserve. Contact the Department of Conservation for current fees, seasonal access conditions and booking requirements before planning your visit.
