Goulburn Valley
The Goulburn Valley in Victoria, is a large, fertile region surrounding the Goulburn River, which flows into the Murray River east of Echuca. From the Seymour in the south to the Murray in the north, the region has its centre in the city of Shepparton. Here, fruit canning and preserving of the region's produce is the major industry, employing thousands of factory workers. The SPC Ardmona cannery is one of the world's largest fruit processing factories.
