The Wonarah Bore Rest Area is a highly popular destination, with large numbers flocking to the site, especially during peak hours such as dusk. Its popularity is based on its ample space and drive-through configuration which perfectly accommodates rigs of all sizes. Visitors are attracted to the serene ambiance and the convenient location off the northern side of the Barkley Highway. So keep in mind that although it's a free overnight spot, make sure you plan your visit, considering it may get crowded during popular times.
