About this rest area

Lake Cathie Foreshore Reserve, located by the serene Cathie Creek, offers a scenic destination for picnicking, fishing, and swimming. The reserve features picnic amenities including covered tables and electric BBQs. Parking is limited, but additional spots are available near the adjacent Bowls Club. A special highlight is a path at the reserve's northern end that leads to a lookout with stunning views of the lake and surf. This beautiful and tranquil spot is perfect for both relaxation and capturing memorable photos.

Not a lot of room in the formal parking area for caravans but some space exists on the verges of Ocean Road. On weekends, parking would not be caravan friendly. Only two parallel parking bays. There is another car park in the road adjacent to the Bowls Club and still only 200m from the beach As a usually landlocked coastal creek, Cathie Creek is a safe swimming and fishing destination with the surf option nearby. On the Northern end of the reserve, a path leads to the surf and Lake Cathie Lookout. Don't forget your camera.
